Play time

Saturday I went to a play group through the adoption agency we worked with here in Hawaii.  Lucky for me, the playgroup happened to be at a beach!

This play group consists of African-American and adopted children from Africa.  I met a woman at our adoption agency that facilitates this play group and she thought it would be a good idea for us to join.

Apparently it’s good to have a community of parents around you who have had similar experiences.  I am excited to make some new connections and hopefully I can become friends with some of these families.

It was there that I met Leah who also has a blog!  Super sweet mother of 4 who I am really excited to be in touch with.  It’s always nice when people offer you free stuff and she said her family has mucho toys they wouldn’t mind passing on, SCORE!

So after the play group I ran some errands and made my way to my friend Nicole’s birthday party.

We went to this great little French restaurant that we all know and love.

We had such a great time and I’m truly blessed with awesome friends!

Can you read mine?

Tonight I had a Girls Chocolate Poker Night.  It’s not as freaky as it sounds I promise.  At no point were any girls covered in chocolate unless you count the chocolate that was ALL over my face.  I’m serious, I ate an obscene amount of candy this evening.  There was a group of about 8 girls playing and instead of using chips we used chocolate, jealous????

I didn’t actually know how to play poker but that is beside the point.  I went anyway and I had a really good time.  I lost for sure but had a good time 🙂  This was only the beginning of my fun-filled weekend so you will have to stay tuned to find out what happens next…
